LGBTQ+ Photography

Ok, fine. I play favorites.
And I’m not even a little ashamed of it.

I know I’m not supposed to have favorites, but I also know I’m supposed to be honest: my LGBTQ clients are my favorite to shoot.

Because you are my people. I understand the exact obstacles you’ve faced in search of love and belonging. The road to finding my wife was long and windy, but it was worth every twist and turn to be with her. (Scroll down for more of our story.)

If you don’t want to read the full story, just know that I’ll move mountains to serve you well. You deserve to feel as special as every other couple in the world. I actually think you deserve a whole new realm of celebration. Whether you’re here in Colorado or out of state, I want to work with you. Let’s schedule a time to chat over a glass of wine or FaceTime!

The long, windy, but perfect road that led me to the MY BEST life. To my home.

I met Sarah in 2012. We had both sworn off long-term relationships. Which obviously meant we were perfect for each other.  Our friends introduced us and after 18 months of long distance and 6 months of being in the same house, we got married in Maui. We were on the beach with just an officiant, photographer, videographer and a ukulelist. It was an absolutely magical experience. Not having a huge wedding let us splurge on a dreamy honeymoon and a photographer we adored. More importantly, it made the whole experience all about us.

We had a pretty intense fertility journey that lasted several heartbreaking years, but we found the most amazing way to make a family through embryo adoption. We were finally able to grow our little family.  We welcomed a baby girl into our lives in 2018 on National Women’s Day and a baby boy in November 2019.  We are beyond blessed.

kind words

“EJ went ABOVE and beyond to make sure we had the PERFECT day. She made sure two (people who see themselves as very) unphotogenic women were comfortable, having fun, and enjoying every second of our day. She was funny, kind, and thoughtful- a joy to be around.

When we chose to elope, finding EJs photography was a big part of making sure it was the right choice for us, but we were just BLOWN away by the results.

She captured our love for each other so well. We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer.”
