Intimate Colorado Backyard Wedding

Juan and Paulina got the best of both worlds by having a small backyard wedding.  They were able to have a beautiful wedding without spending an exorbitant amount of money. Let’s face it, weddings are really expensive these days. I’d look to Paulina and Juan for a few tips on having a gorgeous intimate wedding in Colorado.

  • They rented an incredible VRBO for the backdrop to their ceremony, with mountain views and updated decor; this spot was just perfect.
  • They invited only family to their wedding.
  • Their mothers and grandmothers did the cooking, and it was the best wedding food I ever tasted!
  • The only paid vendor at their wedding was yours truly. I felt honored to capture these images for the couple. Juan was a favorite student of mine about ten years ago and I shed as many tears as all the guests.

This was a special one! Here is their wedding story in photographs.

welcome

Intimacy and adventure is what I am all about. I absolutely love families who are just fun, who are real and let it fly.  I want to see you!  They don’t mind if they get their dress dirty. They may be down for a short hike and are not afraid of getting in the water at the end of your session, you are my people. They don’t mind if things don’t go perfectly and that is just perfect.

The best parts of life are the parts that surprise us, and the best photos are usually the ones we didn’t know were coming.
