welcome

Which life adventure
brought you here?

“We’re getting married and we need the perfect adventure photographer!”

You want something a little different, something candid, you want real moments and vibrant photography against a beautiful landscape. I want you to cry happy tears when you sit down and scroll through your gallery.  We might be the perfect match…

“Our kids are growing too fast and we want to remember this season!”

You are not looking for perfect.  You want something real, something honest, you also want to feel comfortable in front of the camera while your kids are encouraged to be themselves.  That’s why you are here.  Bring me your imperfect, your chaos and your love, I’ll capture the beauty of it all.

adventure is found in the unknown

We’re not striving for perfect Because the adventure is found in the unknown.

Intimacy and adventure is what I am all about. I absolutely love families who are fun, who are real and let it fly.  I want to see you!  You probably don’t mind if your dress gets dirty. You may be down for a short hike and are not afraid of getting in the water at the end of your session. You don’t mind if things don’t go perfectly and that is just perfect.  You are my people.

The best parts of life are the parts that surprise us. And the best photos are usually the ones we didn’t know were coming.

My favorite photos are the ones where you think your hair is blowing too much in the wind or when your kids are being their wild selves. They are the moments of perceived imperfection where I see your most true selves.

So bring me your imperfect and we’ll make art together.

I am a mom, I get it.  Sometimes our kids cry all day, we have a blow out in the car or a spilled drink all over clothes on the way to the session.  It’s okay.  I am here for you.  But let me tell you something: some of the best sessions I have ever witnessed behind the lens of my camera started in total chaos or imperfection.  Together we can make it work, with some baby wipes and fresh clothes, of course.  Hint, hint… Pro tip:  Get them dressed after you arrive and bring the baby wipes. *wink*

About

EJ Here!
But you can call me Liz.

I know that doesn’t make sense, but I promise I’ll respond to both.

I’m as Colorado as they come. There’s no better place to photograph than at the top of the gondola in Vail in a bed of wildflowers in springtime, with the Gore Range as your backdrop and it’s snow capped mountains, or at the gorgeous Piney Lake in the fall. Let’s adventure together in my beautiful state and I’ll capture your memories while we do it.

kind words

“Photography is really intimidating for me. I am always behind the camera trying to catch the little things on my phone, so to be in it is uncomfortable… thinking… am I going to look fat, am I looking like I want to look.   What you do is that you allow for the chaos to come in and make it a non-issue and that is really huge with a family.  Like when I was breastfeeding, or the baby was crying or we couldn’t get her swaddled. Either way it didn’t feel like it was an issue and you embraced it, which made me feel like it’s okay.”  -Erika (from an interview)
