Snowboard Boots, Vows, and a Snow Squall: Rose & Kyle’s Wild Snowmass Elopement

When Rose and Kyle told me they wanted to elope on top of a mountain, I knew they weren’t messing around. These two are the definition of adventurous—soulmates who live for carving through fresh powder and chasing that post-run adrenaline high. And when they picked Snowmass Mountain in Aspen for their elopement, it wasn’t just for the views (although, wow, those views). It was personal. Snowmass holds a history and special place in their hearts, so it made perfect sense for them to say “I do” somewhere that felt like home.

What we didn’t plan for? A surprise snow squall, freezing temps, and a wind chill that could knock your ski socks off.

But here’s the thing—if you look at their wedding photos (and trust me, they are 🔥), you’d never know Rose was shivering through her dress or that Kyle couldn’t feel his fingers by the end of the run. They snowboarded down in full wedding attire like total pros, grinning the whole way. Because that’s who they are. Adventurous. Playful. Tough as hell—and totally in love.

Their elopement wasn’t about being comfortable. It was about doing something wild and unforgettable. And honestly? That’s what makes mountain elopements so special. Whether it’s Vail, Beaver Creek, or Snowmass, when you choose to say your vows in the high alpine, you’re choosing to embrace the unexpected—and trust your partner through it all.

welcome

Intimacy and adventure is what I am all about. I absolutely love families who are just fun, who are real and let it fly.  I want to see you!  They don’t mind if they get their dress dirty. They may be down for a short hike and are not afraid of getting in the water at the end of your session, you are my people. They don’t mind if things don’t go perfectly and that is just perfect.

The best parts of life are the parts that surprise us, and the best photos are usually the ones we didn’t know were coming.
