One of my favorite spots for family sessions, especially with older kids, is Beaver Creek. The Damiano’s spend a lot of family time here so having Beaver Creek family photos was really important to them. Their daughter, Emerson, is graduating high school soon so this might be the last year they have together before she heads off to college. We actually tacked this session onto the front of Emerson’s senior portraits.

This location is a great spot to take portraits a little before golden hour, which is when I normally plan my sessions. That worked out perfectly for us because we could have a whole family session and a senior session in another location on the same day. I love making life easier for my clients by planning sessions like this. If you want to have your own Beaver Creek family session, we can plan it so that you can have dinner in town afterward. There is a ton of love between these four people and it was so wonderful to be able to capture it. They are such a gorgeous family, inside and out. With young families. it’s always easy to capture tons of candid moments. But sometimes, with older families, they need a little coaxing. Not so with the Damianos. It was easy to find beautiful candid moments of connection between them.
