It is heartbreaking to imagine postponing a wedding. I have noticed that people are settling down much later in life than they used to, I know that was the case for me.My wife and I were married when I was 34 and she was 36. One thing we were set on was having a family. We struggled with fertility issues for three years. We had our first child when I was 38 and second when I was 40.I can’t imagine putting off my life when I have found the one, you know? With COVID front and center right now, I believe elopements are the way forward. My partner and I eloped. We don’t regret having a tiny ceremony with just the two of us.Our officiant made our ceremony very memorable. We had a private cabana dinner and had a little cake made just for us. It was all very special.I think this is the type of wedding I can responsibly offer people in theses uncertain times, because we need to keep moving forward with our lives. Time yields to no one. I imagine a hike or drive up a Jeep road to exchange vows against the backdrop of an alpine lake or expansive mountain top views. I have a few amazing spots up my sleeve.
Now, I understand this type of wedding is not for everyone, but if it is, I want to capture your day! After this year I will only be offering my wedding photography to elopements and intimate ceremonies of 50 people or less.
If you are already on my calendar with a large wedding you are the exception, your wedding will be captured beautifully regardless of the size! Also, anyone who is on my calendar and would like to postpone your wedding until the fall, I will happily rebook you for an available date. Those of you on my calendar may move your date to 2021, however it will have a small cost of living increase, but most dates are open! All my clients are welcomed to change the timeline to a full day or half day elopement! Just reach out for details!
This is an example of a half day elopement. We will adventure to the top of a jeep road and have a small ceremony! Inquire if you would like more information on planning an elopement like this one!
This spot is a short drive from several great mountain towns in Summit County where there are ample options for staying and eating. Great for a small intimate ceremony or elopement. We started at Lake Dillon and then exchanged vows on a mountain top. Another great option in Summit County would be Sapphire Point Overlook or a gondola ride at Breckenridge.
