"The minute I heard my first love story, I started looking for you, not knowing how blind that was. Lovers don't finally meet somewhere. They're in each other all along." -Rumi Having an elopement was not Scott and Lisa's first choice, but as Lisa's father put it, "For Lisa and Scott it's about the marriage, not the wedding." Finding each other and starting their next journey was important to these two. They have almost crossed each others' paths when they lived in Munich. Both of them lived in major cities before almost simultaneously deciding they wanted something different and both finding that different vibe in a move Denver. It was a few months later that they finally met. It's not only love finding it's way during this crazy pandemic, it's two people who were always meant to find each other finally meeting. That is beautiful. Lisa and Scott had a beautiful day at the Manor Vail Lodge. We went on a bit of an adventure where Lisa did a hike to the top of a lookout in her heels and Scott graciously carried her train. They had a beautiful dinner at The Fitz, complete with loving toasts from their family. We ended the night with a sparkler exit and champagne spraying celebration. The day could not have been more perfect.
Vail Valley Locals scout a beautiful spot to elope!
Aubrey and Jonas are a couple who have lived together in CO for about four years. She moved out here to be with Jonas, originally being from Philadelphia. They have two crazy lovable little rescue puppies that joined us for their engagement session. These locals have recently decided to stay home in Colorado to elope! Lucky for me, I will be capturing that elopement! We went out near Sylvan Lake State Park to check out the Yeoman campground area. This place is magical, beautiful textures and views abound in this place. Stay tuned to see where they choose to elope in October!
Rachel & Igor Red ExchangeVows, Rocks Country Club
Igor & Rachel met in grad school 5 years ago, and after a couple months she asked him out. Very classy, via text, "so you tryna be my boyfriend or what?" and somehow he agreed. They got engaged in Australia last year, where he asked her "so you tryna be my wife or what?" and it was absolutely perfect. These two live a fun, carefree life full of love and sparkling wine! They have a sweet dog Chester, who Igor gave Rachel for Christmas 2 years ago, he is very cute. In their spare time they often travel, both domestically and abroad, and always enjoy finding a great local brewery or vineyard. Rachel & Igor opted to marry and start their lives together on their original chosen wedding date and abide by pandemic restrictions. They plan to have a reception with family and friends in October at Red Rocks Country Club.
