Carrie and Michael's wedding was one I looked forward to all year. How many weddings does one get to shoot in Lake Tahoe and on a boat? For a Colorado wedding photographer this was a gem! This wedding was so special and intimate with barely 30 guests, everyone in attendance was a dear friend or family member. Carrie and Michael have long been a family, they have a little girl named Amelia who walked Carrie down the isle. Jan, a close friend of Carrie's performed a lovely ceremony. The couple had a handfasting ritual performed, as well as a sand ceremony during the wedding that overlooked the beautiful Lake Tahoe. The guests were all given stones to hold during the ceremony and to infuse with positive thoughts for their future, everyone threw their stone in the lake after the couple said "I do." After the ceremony toasts were given by Tiffany, the matron of honor, and Cedric, the best man; along with toasts from both of the mothers, Diane and Frida, of the bride and groom. The reception was gorgeous in the galley of the ship, where Dee, a former teacher, mentor and good friend of Carrie's made all the center pieces. The staff aboard the Tahoe Gal had a prime rib roasting in the back for four hours before the ceremony, that was an easy choice for dinner, absolutely delicious! The cake was baked by Dee's sister, Dorene, and topped with gorgeous birds made by the bride herself. Everyone raved about the yummy cake! It was a special and very fun day for all aboard the Tahoe Gal.
