"Parents are the ultimate role models for children. Every word, movement and action has an effect. No other person or outside force has a greater influence on a child than the parent." Bob Keeshan
These two parents are doing an amazing job raising a beautiful, intelligent and kind daughter. I am absolutely in love with the playful and candid family photos we were able to create together. I have had the joy of taking family photos and wedding photos of the Hastings family in past years. It has been such a pleasure to watch their child grow.. I can't imagine a greater honor than to have my photography grace the walls of their home and growing more special to them as each year passes.
There are wonderful places around my home town of Eagle to capture family portraits. If you are interested in having portraits taken we will discuss the numerous possibilities and try to find a location that matches your families personality.
I have never had a more meaningful family session as this one. Being a new mom has really changed my perspective and the direction I want to take my work. I have mainly been focused on wedding photography, but now I feel myself shifting toward a desire to document more intimate portraits of families, couples and elopements. This photography session welcomed baby boy Bodie into the world. Cooper, the pup, is adjusting well to the new family member; while mom and dad are madly in love with their new bundle of joy.
Well this session was a bit of a wild goose chase! I thought I picked out a great spot along the river, but we stumbled upon rapids and dangerous holes. I actually fell into one of the holes! Other than that, we had fun. I connected with both of them right from the start and consider them close friends here in Eagle. This month marks my one year anniversary of being back in Eagle County and I have had the pleasure of getting to know and sharing the joy of pregnancy with Amanda. They are expecting a beautiful baby boy any day now. You will see in the pictures below that pregnancy looks incredible on Amanda, she is glowing in every single one of these images. She is the kind of girl that was out skinning, rafting and hiking her whole pregnancy and this will continue into motherhood. These two will raise one rad little kid!
What an honor it was to capture this local family! These two had their wedding in March while I was in the hospital delivering Ellis, since I was unable to capture their wedding photos I jumped at the chance to capture this gorgeous family on my own. I am playing with a little bit of a new style for me. A little more vibrant, a little more playful, and a lot more candid. There will be a few more families captured in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
It was an absolute pleasure to shoot the Ehlke extended family photos! This family portrait session was a success because we actually have some photos with all the grandkids smiling, which was no small feat! Angela brought bubbles, she is a life saver. I am constantly learning new tricks and Angela has taught me a must for family portrait sessions with small children, bring bubbles! This is a great way to maximize your dollar. The bonus is that smaller groupings are captured as well, so you have mini family portrait sessions included in the fee. This was a Christmas gift for Mrs. Ehkle, what a great gift it was! These photos will become more meaningful as time passes on, what a fantastic family heirloom for the Ehlkes! Here are some images from this extended family portrait session at the 17 Mile Farmhouse Park.
